Summary

This book is a cute little story about a little girl named Trixie who has a stuffed bear that is a bunny. In the story her dad and her go to the laundromat together. When they get there, Trixie helps her dad put the clothes that they took to wash in the machine. After they put the money in the machine, they left the laundromat to head home while they wait for the clothes to be done. On their way home Trixie notices something, her stuffed animal was not with her. She tried to tell her dad, but he could not understand her so they kept going home. The whole way home she threw a tantrum, and when they got home, the first thing her mom asks, is what happened to knuffle bunny. They then go back to laundromat and look everywhere until they finally find Knuffle Bunny.

Evaluation

I would use the book in class because it is a cute book and a lot of children have something that when they are little they get really attached to and love. The illustrations in the book were good and I loved how Mo Willems used actual pictures of where he lived in New York for the background. I would use the book in the classroom as an interactive read aloud. Another way I would use the book, is by using it to start off the day and class. Another way that I would use the book in the class, is to help students with phonics and their phonological process.
