The traditional literature book I was born about 10,000 years ago by Steven Kellogg, is a book about how a narrator says he was present in some biblical and historical events. One event being that the narrator supposedly saw when Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden. The narrator also says that they taught Samson how to use his hands. The narrator says that they even helped Columbus out. There are many more events that the narrator says that he was part of, but the narrator does so by stretching the truth and using humor. I would use the book in the classroom, because it has rhymes and the pictures are amazing. The appropriate grade level for the book is kindergarten. The book can be used in the classroom when it comes to helping kids with their phonological awareness. The book can be used in the classroom for a simple read aloud. I might use the book to help me teach syllables to the children, such as reading the text then choosing a word and asking them to tell me how many syllables are in the word. I could also use it to spell out a word using phonemes and ask the students to tell me the word that is being said.
